1. Using Doio

Doio is a technology platform that connects riders with independent captains for rides and parcel delivery, and connects vehicle owners with people who want to rent a vehicle to drive themselves. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

2. Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep your phone secure: you are responsible for activity that takes place under your account. Provide accurate information, and keep it up to date.

3. Bookings and fares

Fares are calculated from the base fare, distance and time rates for the vehicle type you choose, plus any surcharges or waiting charges shown in the app. The fare shown before you book is an estimate; the final fare reflects the route actually travelled and time actually taken. A trip starts when you share your pickup code with the captain.

4. Payments and wallet

You can pay for a trip in cash to the captain, or online by UPI, card or your Doio wallet. Online payments and wallet top-ups are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. Where an online fare exceeds your wallet balance, the shortfall is collected when the trip ends. Wallet balance can be used only for Doio services and cannot be transferred to another account.

5. Cancellations

You may cancel a booking before your trip starts. Where a cancellation charge applies — for example, if the captain has already arrived and waited — it is shown to you before you confirm the cancellation. See Refunds & Cancellations.

6. Captains

Captains are independent service providers, not employees of Doio. To drive with Doio you must hold a valid driving licence and vehicle registration for the vehicle you use, keep them current, complete verification, and comply with all traffic and transport laws. Earnings are credited after each trip, net of the platform commission shown in the app, and can be withdrawn to your bank account. We may suspend a captain account while a safety report is investigated.

7. Self Drive

When you rent a vehicle you agree to the rental terms shown in the app before booking, including: taking live photos of the vehicle at handover and return; driving it yourself with a valid licence; paying for fuel, tolls, parking and any traffic fines during the rental; returning it on time to the agreed place; and paying for damage, loss or theft during your rental. A refundable deposit is held for each rental and returned after the vehicle comes back undamaged.

When you list a vehicle you confirm that you own it or are authorised to rent it out, and that its registration, insurance and papers are valid.

8. Parcels

Do not send anything illegal, dangerous, perishable without adequate packing, or of a value you could not afford to lose. Prohibited items include weapons, drugs, alcohol, hazardous materials, cash and jewellery. A captain may refuse a parcel that appears to breach these terms.

9. Conduct

Riders, captains and renters are expected to behave lawfully and respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, violence, damage to property and fraud are not allowed. We may suspend or close accounts involved in unsafe, abusive or fraudulent activity. Read our Safety guidelines.

10. Liability

Doio provides the platform that connects you with captains and vehicle owners; the transport or rental service itself is provided by them. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the trip or rental concerned. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Before going to court, please contact us at support@doio.in — most problems can be resolved directly.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Doio after that means you accept the updated terms.
